Job Overview
We are looking for an SEO Specialist to support on-page SEO and website optimization projects. This role focuses on keyword research, meta tags and header optimization, and implementing SEO updates within WordPress using established SOPs.
You will work with tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, and SEO Neo, initially under guidance, to support audits, content updates, and site improvements.
Work Schedule:- Flexible from Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST
- 20 hours a week
Scope:
- Potential for conversion to 40 hours per week based on business growth
- Work schedule flexible but requires 1-hour overlap with Eastern Time Zone
- Initial period will involve close supervision and training on specific processes
- Focus on supporting existing client base of 20+ active accounts
- 90-day probation period with performance evaluation
- Month-to-month agreement with potential for long-term growth
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-page SEO optimization including keyword research and implementation
- Optimize meta tags, H1 tags, H2 tags, and other on-page elements
- Work within WordPress to implement SEO improvements and content updates
- Utilize SEO tools like SEO Neo, SEMrush, Moz, and Google Analytics
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent execution
- Execute SEO tasks under guidance and supervision initially
- Support website optimization projects and content migration tasks
- Assist with SEO audits and recommendations for client websites
Requirements:
- Proven experience with SEO tools including Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Moz (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO optimization techniques
- Familiarity with WordPress content management and basic functionality
- Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work under guidance
- Experience with keyword research and meta tag optimization
- Understanding of H1/H2 tag structure and implementation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repetitive tasks accurately
- Excellent communication skills for regular check-ins and updates
