Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7AM – 4PM Chicago, IL time (Includes 1-hour unpaid break)

Overview
This position requires a results orientated, technically competent individual with a technical background combined with experience and ability to quickly master concepts and efficiently deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope of work documents for projects in bidding
• Cost analysis of materials and labor estimates in an organized matter
• Projects may be machinery and components or construction related
• Outreach to known vendors for component and material costing
• Team communication for determining project time
• Develop standardized costing and pricing tools in bidding

Requirements

• Basic experience with 3d modeling (Fusion or Solidworks)
  
• MUST HAVE a background in metalworking, forming, or machining.
  
• Excellent written English language skill preferred
  
• High level of competency in a related technical field  
  
• Technical competence to understand project drawings and specifications
  
• Ability to collaborate with design and sales to breakdown project tasks and estimate expenses
  
• High level user skills in MS word and Excel
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
