Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Spanish Bilingual Assistant to support our team during the upcoming tax season. This is a seasonal position starting immediately in January and ending in May.
You will receive full training and materials (including a Tax Preparation Course). While this is a temporary role to assist with the tax season rush, there is a strong possibility for this to become a permanent position depending on performance and business volume.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including 1-hour unpaid break
- Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm (no unpaid break)
- 44 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather document information.
- Sent list of documents needed to prepare tax return.
- Enter Customer Data in the system.
- Process the invoice and payment for the customer.
- Schedule a tax appointment.
- Follow up with the client to gather information.
Candidate Requirements:
To ensure you are the perfect fit for this role without being overqualified or too expensive, we are looking for:
- Bilingual Fluency: Must be fully fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) to assist our diverse client base.
- Accounting Background: Previous experience or education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Admin support within a financial setting. You must be comfortable handling invoices and financial data.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to learn new software quickly. You will be trained on our specific tax systems, but you must be comfortable with data entry and navigating CRM tools.
- Customer Service Skills: Comfortable speaking on the phone to schedule appointments and follow up on missing documents.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical when entering tax payer data and processing payments.
- Availability: Must be available to work during New Jersey business hours (Eastern Standard Time).
