Job Description:
You’ll be the vital link between patients and quality mental healthcare, ensuring every interaction is professional, timely, and supportive. This role puts you at the heart of a growing practice where your administrative expertise enables better patient outcomes and smoother operations. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems independently, and grow alongside an expanding healthcare business that values initiative and critical thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Handle patient phone calls with professionalism and empathy, serving as the first point of contact
- Follow up with patients to complete intake forms and ensure seamless onboarding
- Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling to optimize patient access and practice efficiency
- Process copay collections and handle payment-related patient inquiries
- Send timely appointment reminders through preferred communication channels
- Field general patient inquiries and provide appropriate guidance or escalation
- Use independent judgment to assist patients when the practice owner is unavailable
- Follow established step-by-step processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Research solutions and utilize available resources before escalating questions
Requirements:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle patient needs independently
- Self-starter mentality with proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Excellent communication skills for professional patient interactions
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills for situations requiring immediate response
- Willingness to learn detailed healthcare processes and follow established procedures
- Reliable internet connection and comfortable working remotely with personal equipment
- Healthcare or medical administrative experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Bonus if you have experience with patient management systems or healthcare billing processes
