Outbound Lead Specialist

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week); 10 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday

They help students navigate the complex process of obtaining Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) through government-funded programs that most people don’t know exist. With 1,000+ new leads monthly and a mission to open doors to life-changing career opportunities, they’re making a real impact in the transportation industry.

Job Description: You’ll be the first voice prospects hear when they’re ready to change their lives through commercial driving careers. These aren’t cold calls – you’ll work exclusively with warm leads who’ve already expressed interest in CDL training but need guidance navigating funding options and next steps. You’ll educate prospects about free government programs they didn’t know existed, qualify them for the right funding pipeline, and schedule them for office visits that can launch their new careers. This role combines the satisfaction of helping people access life-changing opportunities with the structure of a proven lead management system.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact 1,000-1,500 monthly warm leads who’ve expressed interest through advertising platforms
  • Qualify prospects and determine appropriate funding pipeline (workforce programs, emerge funding, or payment plans)
  • Educate leads about government funding eligibility and program requirements
  • Schedule office visits for qualified prospects in New York City
  • Follow up with prospects who miss scheduled appointments and re-engage them
  • Update lead statuses in CRM system and track prospect progress through pipelines
  • Provide information about alternative payment options for non-qualifying prospects
  • Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to prevent leads from going uncontacted
  • Handle both inbound responses and proactive outbound follow-up activities

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills (clear, professional phone presence)
  • Ability to learn funding program criteria and eligibility requirements
  • Experience in telemarketing, outbound calling, or lead qualification preferred
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and updating lead information
  • Patient, educational approach when working with prospects unfamiliar with available programs
  • Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume lead flow
  • Persistence and resilience in follow-up activities
  • Bonus if you speak Spanish (helpful but not required)
  • It helps if you have experience in education, career services, or helping people access government programs
