General Accountant (US GAAP)

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM Manila Time (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET), 30 minutes paid break

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant (US GAAP) to handle end-to-end accounting functions for a US-based client. The ideal candidate has strong general accounting experience, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and the ability to manage financial reporting, audits, and budgeting independently.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

  • Manage end-to-end general accounting processes
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing of financial books
  • Conduct balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports
  • Track and report on key financial KPIs
  • Support management with financial insights and analysis

Audit & Budgeting:

  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Support budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, and month-end close)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Experience working in a BPO or freelancing environment is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Available for services during US Business Hours (EST/PST).
