Digital Marketing Specialist - Meta Ads & E-commerce

Overview

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to lead Meta advertising campaigns for a growing Canadian digital products company. This role focuses on Instagram advertising for products like PDFs and books, driving revenue growth through strategic audience targeting, campaign optimization, and ROI-focused performance. The position offers autonomy, a performance-driven environment, and opportunities for increased responsibilities as successful campaigns scale.


Job Highlights

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time (Canada) with 1-hour unpaid break
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidate must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates and depend on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Meta ad campaigns specifically for digital products (PDFs, books) on Instagram

  • Create targeted advertising strategies to reach optimal audiences for digital product sales

  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize for maximum return on investment

  • Analyze campaign data and make strategic adjustments to improve effectiveness and reduce cost per acquisition

  • Scale successful ad campaigns across multiple product lines and Instagram pages

  • Manage ongoing campaign maintenance, A/B testing, and performance tracking

  • Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, ROI metrics, and optimization recommendations

  • Collaborate on audience research and customer persona development for better targeting


Requirements

  • High-level knowledge of Meta advertising platforms, Facebook Ads Manager, and Instagram advertising tools

  • Proven track record with e-commerce or digital product advertising campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in ROI optimization and performance metrics analysis

  • Experience with audience targeting, lookalike audiences, and conversion tracking setup

  • Ability to interpret campaign data and make strategic adjustments for improved performance

  • Knowledge of digital product marketing strategies and e-commerce best practices

  • Bonus: experience with multiple product launches or scaling successful campaigns
