NOC Engineer (Cisco Specialist)

  • Mondays to Fridays, 3:00 pm to 12:00 am
  • With 1-hour unpaid break

Job Overview:
 
We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Engineer with a strong Cisco Collaboration background to join our remote operations team. We are most interested in finding someone who has CCNP-level routing/switching expertise in Cisco Networking and firewall capabilities. This role requires hands-on experience across Cisco devices and collaboration platforms, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining uptime and performance in dynamic client environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network and collaboration issues across multiple client environments
  • Configure, manage, and support Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Collaboration platforms such as CUCM (Call Manager), Unity, Jabber, Webex, etc.
  • Perform routine network and collaboration system maintenance, health checks, and upgrades
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced issues, executing solutions without reliance on L1/L2 support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve critical incidents when necessary
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, incidents, and resolutions
  • Assist with onboarding and supporting new clients or network environments
  • Drive proactive improvements to ensure uptime and service quality


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a NOC Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role
  • Cisco certifications CCNP is mandatory
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Collaboration platforms (CUCM, Unity, Jabber, Webex, etc.)
  • Proven expertise with Cisco networking devices (routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and remote access tools
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, troubleshooting methodologies, and escalation management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and resolve high-level escalations with minimal supervision
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet home office environment


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with VoIP troubleshooting and QoS configuration
  • Familiarity with other collaboration tools or third-party integrations
  • Exposure to multi-tenant environments or managed service provider (MSP) setups
