Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Assistant & Operations Coordinator to support a growing event services company. This role combines social media content management with operational coordination for photo booth and balloon decor events. You’ll curate visual content, assist with client communications, and coordinate event logistics, helping ensure smooth operations and memorable client experiences. This position offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a passionate team.
Job Highlights
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible hours within client business hours
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidate must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates and depend on your performance in the application process.
Responsibilities

Review and organize thousands of event photos and videos stored in Dropbox from photo booth and decor events

Select high-quality visual content and perform basic editing (exposure, white balance, cropping)

Queue edited content in scheduling platforms for the social media team to caption and publish

Handle post-sales client communication and event coordination for photo booth services

Coordinate essential event logistics, including load-in times, start/end schedules, and backdrop selections

Communicate with clients and planners regarding custom photo design specifications and printing details

Support operational tasks across both photo booth and balloon decor service lines

Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for workflow improvements

Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced event environment
Requirements

Experience with basic photo editing software and techniques (exposure, white balance, cropping)

Familiarity with social media content management and scheduling platforms

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for content curation

Excellent written communication skills for client coordination

Experience with cloud storage systems like Dropbox

Ability to work independently while following established guidelines
