Job Description
You’ll be the driving force behind business development for a growing industrial services company, connecting with decision-makers across Canada’s manufacturing landscape. Working directly with the Sales Manager, you’ll own the entire front-end of the sales process—from identifying prospects to setting qualified appointments that convert into partnerships. This role combines the excitement of high-volume prospecting with the satisfaction of building meaningful business relationships in specialized industrial markets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls daily to prospects across Canadian markets
- Research and identify potential leads in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors
- Qualify prospects and handle objections while maintaining professional persistence
- Set confirmed appointments with interested decision-makers for sales team closure
- Collaborate with Sales Manager to approve target companies and refine lead strategies
- Build and nurture prospect pipelines through consistent follow-up and relationship development
- Generate brand awareness through professional outreach in specialized industrial markets
- Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions and pipeline status
Requirements
- Fluent English with excellent verbal communication and professional phone presence
- B2B sales experience with proven track record in Sales, appointment setting or lead generation (closing required)
- Confidence handling high-volume cold calling and prospect objections
- Experience working with commercial or industrial clients (bonus if manufacturing background)
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and resilience in face of rejection
- Research skills for identifying and qualifying potential prospects
- It helps if you have familiarity with Canadian business markets
