Sales Representative (Traffic Control Services)

Schedule: 
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Client Time Zone: PST (Langley, BC)
  • Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to support business growth by building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue in the traffic control services industry. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to collaborate closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
 
Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Growth:
  • Identify and secure new clients through networking, referrals, bid platforms, and market research
  • Prospect, negotiate, and close business to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Build and manage a diverse sales pipeline aligned with the company's strategy
  • Execute sales strategies and positioning plans set by senior leadership
Relationship Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and escalations
  • Maintain regular communication throughout the sales cycle to ensure high satisfaction
  • Conduct client check-ins and monitor feedback to identify areas for improvement
  • Foster long-term relationships to drive retention and repeat business
Sales Execution & Account Management:
  • Provide pricing proposals, negotiate service agreements, and prepare bids and RFP/RFQ responses
  • Collaborate with Dispatch, Operations, and TMP teams to align service delivery with client requirements
  • Track and report performance metrics, sales activities, and pipeline health to senior management
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue

Market Intelligence & Reporting:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to inform sales strategies
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and update lead/opportunity status daily
  • Prepare weekly progress reports and document all sales activities

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or account management (construction or traffic services industry preferred)
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software, Microsoft 365, and other sales tools
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management abilities
