Spanish Bilingual Senior Immigration Paralegal

Overview

We are seeking a Spanish Bilingual Senior Immigration Paralegal to serve as the operational backbone of our growing Immigration Department. This role combines advanced case management, legal strategy, and team leadership. You will mentor junior staff, manage complex casework, and ensure strict compliance with immigration regulations while supporting meaningful client outcomes.


Job Highlights

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidate must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates and depend on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and train junior immigration paralegals and support staff

  • Review work products for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with firm protocols

  • Coordinate workload distribution and implement process improvements to enhance department efficiency

Advanced Case Strategy

  • Independently manage high-stakes matters including removal defense, family-based, and employment-based cases

  • Partner with attorneys to develop case strategies and draft petitions, motions, briefs, and complex RFEs

  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of all case materials

Client Advocacy & Compliance

  • Conduct client intakes and explain complex legal issues in English and Spanish

  • Maintain accurate case files and databases while ensuring compliance with USCIS, EOIR, and NVC regulations


Requirements

  • Complete fluency in English and Spanish (non-negotiable)

  • 3+ years of experience as an immigration paralegal

  • Experience supervising or mentoring paralegal staff (highly preferred)

  • In-depth knowledge of USCIS, EOIR, NVC, and consular processes

  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
