Marketing Assistant - Xero experience

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible between 8:30am and 4:30pm AEST.

Job Description: You’ll be instrumental in managing day-to-day marketing activities and essential business operations across multiple thriving Australian companies. This role combines creative marketing work with important administrative functions, offering variety and the chance to make a real impact. You’ll work closely with business owners who provide excellent training and support, making this ideal for someone looking to grow their skills across multiple business functions while contributing to genuine business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage social media content creation and posting across multiple business accounts
  • Update point of sales systems with new products, pricing, and inventory management
  • Handle basic Xero bookkeeping tasks including bill uploads and purchase order matching
  • Create and edit visual content including pictures and videos for marketing campaigns
  • Provide general administrative support across mobility, healthcare, and biotechnology verticals
  • Coordinate between different business systems and ensure data accuracy
  • Support e-commerce operations and online store management

Requirements

  • Basic Social media management experience
  • Basic Xero accounting software proficiency
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with team
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work during Australian business hours
  • Bonus if you have content creation and basic editing skills
  • It helps if you’re willing to learn point of sale systems and new software platforms
