Bookkeeper

Schedule

Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Auckland, New Zealand time)
Total Weekly Hours: 10–15 hours

Responsibilities

  • Manage payables, receivables, and daily bank reconciliations in Xero

  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time

  • Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and detailed cost analysis

  • Coordinate local and international payments, including online transactions

  • Liaise with the bank, external accountant, freight forwarders, and other key stakeholders

  • Assist with GST returns and IRD compliance, ensuring a solid understanding of New Zealand tax obligations

  • Maintain stock accuracy in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, with a strong focus on inventory management for product-based businesses

  • Actively use and manage inventory and accounting data within CIN7, CIN7 Omni, or CIN7 Core

  • Support ongoing CIN7 system maintenance, data integrity, and process improvements

  • Assist with CIN7 system migration, upgrades, or transitions, including data validation and reconciliation between CIN7 and Xero

  • Support trade finance and seasonal product planning, including international transactions

  • Prepare detailed financial reports and perform in-depth cost analysis

  • Handle ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required

Requirements

  • Strong experience in accounting, finance, or operations support, particularly within product-based businesses

  • Proficiency in Xero and payroll processing

  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of CIN7, CIN7 Omni, or CIN7 Core

  • Experience or exposure to system migration involving CIN7 or similar inventory/ERP platforms

  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cash flow management, payment systems, and GST returns

  • Familiarity with stock control, freight logistics, and seasonal business workflows

  • High attention to detail, reliable, and able to work independently

  • Experience with trade finance and working with external accountants is highly regarded

  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports and conduct accurate cost analysis
