Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Apollo.io Lead Generation Specialist to build, manage, and optimize outbound prospecting campaigns that generate qualified leads for our sales team. This role is focused on identifying ideal prospects, executing multi-channel outreach, and delivering sales-ready opportunities within the managed IT services market.
The ideal candidate is data-driven, detail-oriented, and understands how to prospect decision-makers such as CEOs, CIOs, IT Managers, and Operations leaders at SMBs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Use Apollo.io to identify, segment, and build targeted prospect lists aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Research and validate contact data for accuracy and relevance
- Identify key decision-makers in SMB and mid-market organizations
Outreach & Campaign Execution
- Create and manage email sequences, call tasks, and LinkedIn touchpoints within Apollo
- Personalize outreach messaging for managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance offerings
- Monitor deliverability, open rates, replies, and conversion metrics
Data Management & CRM
- Maintain clean, accurate data in Apollo and CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Tag, score, and qualify leads based on engagement and fit
- Schedule discovery calls and hand off qualified leads to sales
Optimization & Reporting
- Continuously test subject lines, messaging, sequences, and targeting
- Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements
- Provide weekly/monthly reporting on lead volume, response rates, and opportunities generated
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience using Apollo.io for outbound lead generation
- Experience generating leads for Managed IT Services, MSPs, SaaS, or B2B technology services
- Strong understanding of outbound sales workflows and funnel metrics
- Excellent written communication skills (cold email & LinkedIn messaging)
- Strong research and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling or marketing IT support, cybersecurity, cloud services, or compliance
- Knowledge of SMB and mid-market buying cycles
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Understanding of CAN-SPAM and email deliverability best practices
