Role Name: Bookkeeper – Multi-Entity Trust | Remote | Immediate Start

Schedule: 10+ hours per week. Flexible schedule during client's business hours (9am to 4pm Monday-Wednesday)

A growing trust organization managing three distinct business entities across property management, marketing/PR, and retail industries. Currently in an exciting startup phase with multiple revenue streams and expansion potential. You’ll work with a collaborative leadership team that values long-term partnerships and professional growth.

Job Description: 

You’ll play a crucial role in establishing strong financial foundations for a multi-entity business structure while working directly with leadership that values quality partnerships. This role offers the perfect blend of immediate impact through historical cleanup work and ongoing growth potential as the business scales. You’ll enjoy variety across different industries while helping build sustainable financial systems from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean up and organize financial records for 2023 and 2024 tax preparation across all entities
  • Perform monthly reconciliation and ongoing bookkeeping maintenance
  • Manage financial records for three separate LLCs under one trust structure
  • Handle bookkeeping for property management operations including rental income and expenses
  • Maintain accurate books for PR and marketing company transactions
  • Process and organize financial data for retail business operations
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy across multiple business entity types
  • Collaborate with leadership team on financial reporting and organization

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with demonstrated expertise
  • Experience working with North American companies (US/Canada preferred)
  • Familiarity with multi-entity structures and trust accounting
  • Knowledge of property management, marketing, or retail industry bookkeeping is a plus
  • Proficiency with standard bookkeeping software and cloud-based tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • It helps if you have experience with startup-phase businesses and tax preparation
