About the Company:

• The client provides a range of services, including:

• Tax Recovery (e.g., identifying missed indirect tax recoveries)

• Audit & Assurance—review of indirect tax processes, compliance assurance.

• Indirect Tax Compliance & Advisory (GST, fuel tax, land tax, customs duty, global VAT)

• BAS services (Business Activity Statement)—preparation, compliance, liaison with Australian Taxation Office, etc.

• Self-Funded Transformation—presumably helping clients restructure tax processes so improvements fund themselves.

Role Overview:

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper to support a range of clients with daily financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and accurate record-keeping. You will work under the guidance of the senior bookkeeper and help maintain up-to-date financials across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Recording and Reconciliation

• Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions to keep records up-to-date and audit-ready.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Managing invoicing, payment tracking, and collections to maintain healthy client cash flow.

Payroll Processing and Compliance:

• Process payroll, calculate tax and superannuation, and ensure compliance with legislation.

BAS and GST Preparation:

• Support clients with BAS Preparation and lodgment in line with ATO requirements

Financial Reporting and Insights:

• Generate financial reports that deliver valuable insights and drive decision-making.

Cloud-based Bookkeeping:

• Use platforms like Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks to manage books seamlessly in a digital-first environment. 

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role

• Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

• Experience preparing BAS and GST reports

• High Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently from home

• Strong communication skills with a client service mindset.
