Job Description: You’ll join a growing tax preparation practice where your expertise directly impacts client satisfaction and business success. You’ll handle the full spectrum of tax preparation work, from individual returns to complex business filings, using industry-standard software in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate personal and business tax returns for a diverse client base
  • Review and organize client tax documents including W-2 forms, deductions, and supporting materials
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation before processing returns
  • Utilize Drake software for efficient tax preparation and filing
  • Maintain detailed records and follow established quality control procedures
  • Participate in regular check-ins with management to review progress and address questions
  • Handle increased workload during peak tax season with professionalism and efficiency
  • Provide support for various tax-related inquiries and client needs

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with US tax preparation
  • Strong knowledge of US tax forms, regulations, and filing requirements
  • Experience with tax preparation software (Drake software experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Availability to work during US Eastern business hours
  • Bonus if you have experience with both individual and business tax returns
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with seasonal workload variations and can handle increased hours during tax season
