Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–4:30 PM UK time with a 30-minute unpaid break

Role Overview
This role supports the UK finance function and requires strong experience with Xero, good IT capability, and confidence using software, automation, and technology within finance operations.

Responsibilities
•⁠  ⁠Reconcile bank transactions and match invoices on a daily basis
•⁠  ⁠Categorise and record financial transactions in Xero
•⁠  ⁠Generate and upload invoices into the accounting system
•⁠  ⁠Carry out credit control and follow up outstanding payments
•⁠  ⁠Process payroll data and upload payroll information into Xero
•⁠  ⁠Produce financial reports including profit and loss statements
•⁠  ⁠Support finance process improvement and basic automation tasks

Requirements
•⁠  ⁠Proven experience using Xero accounting software
•⁠  ⁠Experience or familiarity with UK accounting practices is an advantage
•⁠  ⁠Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
•⁠  ⁠Good proficiency in Excel
•⁠  ⁠Strong IT skills and confidence working with software and automation tools
•⁠  ⁠Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
•⁠  ⁠Willingness to use Time Doctor for time tracking

Preferred Profile
•⁠  ⁠Experience in an internal finance or bookkeeping role
•⁠  ⁠Comfortable working in a technology-driven finance environment.
