Assessment & Compliance Assistant

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • 35 to 40 hours per week (depending on the business needs)
  • Client time zone: Australian Eastern Time

 

Purpose of the Role:

This role ensures that student submissions meet rigorous assessment and compliance standards while maintaining consistency, fairness, and documentation integrity across programs. It safeguards program quality, accreditation pathways, and brand credibility by delivering objective and consistent evaluations.

 

Core Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to assess work objectively against clear, predefined criteria
  • Strong decision-making skills without emotional bias
  • Clear, concise, and constructive written feedback
  • Consistency in handling high volumes of assessments

 

Tools & Platforms:

  • Google Docs & Sheets
  • LMS platforms / Circle for submission access
  • Notion or Monday.com for tracking assessments
  • Slack for communication
  • AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for support—but not for decision-making

 

Experience Required:

  • Background in education, assessment, quality assurance (QA), compliance, or content review
  • Familiarity with marketing concepts, basic copywriting, and sales funnels/offers is helpful but not mandatory
  • Comfortable managing and reviewing high volumes of student work

 

What This Role Is Not:

  • Not coaching or mentoring students
  • Not providing strategy or creative feedback
  • Focused strictly on assessment against standards, not personal opinions or subjective input

 

Typical Tasks:

  • Review student submissions thoroughly
  • Evaluate work against established pass/fail criteria
  • Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback
  • Flag edge cases or unclear submissions to the Head Assessor
  • Maintain and update tracking systems to ensure compliance and audit readiness

 

Success Indicators:

  • Fast and reliable turnaround times
  • Consistent and objective assessment decisions
  • Low rate of rework or disputes
  • Clear, auditable documentation for compliance purposes
