E-commerce Operations & Inside Sales Admin

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Ontario, CA)

  • Break: 30-minute unpaid break

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Inside Sales professional to support our national retail and online customers through best-in-class product onboarding, digital merchandising, and listing management. This role sits at the intersection of sales & e-commerce, ensuring products are accurately set up, optimized for discoverability and conversion, and fully compliant with retailer and marketplace requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting revenue growth by enabling fast, accurate, and compelling product launches across multiple channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:


E-Commerce Product Onboarding
 Onboard and maintain e-commerce listings using a structured framework of digital assets that collectively drive discoverability, conversion, and retailer compliance.
 Coordinate with Sales, Product, Vendors, and Operations to collect, validate, and publish
accurate product data.
 Ensure listings meet retailer-specific standards and timelines for both inline and online
programs.

Digital Asset Management Responsibilities
1. Product Content Assets (Core Listing Data)
Responsible for the validation and maintenance of mandatory product content as provided by Vendors, including:

      Product title / name
      SKU / model number
      UPC / GTIN / EAN
      Brand name
      Category and taxonomy placement
      Short and long product descriptions
      Key features and bullet points

      Technical specifications:
          o Dimensions, weight, materials
          o Power requirements and compatibility
      Country of origin
      Warranty information
      Compliance and regulatory data (FCC, UL, Prop 65, etc.)

2. Visual & Rich Media Assets (Conversion Drivers)
Support the onboarding and optimization of visual assets that influence conversion:
      Product images:
          o Primary / hero image (white background)
          o Secondary images (lifestyle, in-use, detail, packaging)
          o 360° spin images
          o Infographics (feature callouts, dimensions)
      Video assets:
          o Product overview videos
          o How-to / setup videos
          o Feature highlight videos
          o Retailer-specific video formats (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)

3. SEO & Discoverability Assets
Ensure products are optimized to be found across marketplaces:
      Search keywords and backend search terms
      Meta titles and descriptions
      URL slugs
      Image alt text
      Synonyms and attribute mapping

4. Merchandising & Commercial Assets
Support sales execution and retail operations by managing:
      Promotional copy and selling messages
      Product bundles and variations (size, color, style)
      Case pack and minimum order quantities

5. Operational & Integration Assets
Enable seamless onboarding and fulfillment through accurate operational data:
      Retailer-specific item setup forms
      Vendor part numbers
      EDI attributes
      Shipping and logistics data:
          o Carton dimensions and weights
          o Pallet configuration
      Fulfillment methods (DTC, dropship, 3PL)
      Returns policies
      Hazmat and battery indicators

6. Trust & Social Proof Assets (As Applicable)
Support enhanced content initiatives, including:
      Customer reviews and ratings
      Q&A content
      User-generated content (UGC)
      Certifications and badges (eco, energy, sustainability)

7. Localization & Marketplace-Specific Assets
Support regional and platform-specific requirements:
      Translated content; through an Agency.
      Localized measurements and currency
      Retailer-specific templates and enhanced content:
          o Amazon A+ Content
          o Walmart Rich Media
          o Best Buy PDP modules
          o Costco item setup forms
          o Bazzarvoice
          o Syndigo

Tools & Systems

      Product Information Management (PIM) systems
      Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
      ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Business Central)
      Retailer portals and EDI platforms

 

Qualifications & Skills
 3+ years experience in inside sales, e-commerce operations, digital merchandising, or
retail account support
 Strong understanding of online product listings and retailer requirements
 Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
 Ability to manage multiple SKUs and priorities simultaneously
 Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
 Comfortable working with ERP, PIM, DAM, and retailer portals
 Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset
