Role Summary
We are looking for two proactive, bilingual Sales Agents to join a growing, New Jersey-based insurance agency. As the agency transitions from an owner-operated model to a structured team, these roles are critical in streamlining operations and ensuring high-quality service for a diverse client base (60% Hispanic / 40% English-speaking).
Training will be provided for Auto and Home insurance products.
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time Zone.
Weekend Requirement: Rotating Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Note: This role requires availability to work alternating Saturdays (every other weekend). When a Saturday shift is scheduled, you will receive a day off during the week or adjusted weekday hours to maintain a 40-hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Consultation & Proposal
- Verify information received from the data entry team to ensure accuracy before contacting the client.
- Compare and explain the best insurance options to the client based on their specific needs.
- Send the proposal to the customer in a timely manner.
- Explain the coverage details clearly to the customer, ensuring they understand their policy benefits.
- Follow up consistently on proposals that have been sent to potential clients.
Closing & Payments
- Close the sale effectively and professionally.
- Charge agency fees as applicable to the policy.
- Take the payment from the client for the down payment.
- Set up the account for automatic payments to ensure policy continuity.
Administrative & Reporting
- Record the policy on the EzLynx platform.
- Upload the signed contract to the system.
- Send a daily report of sales to management at the end of the day.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience is required. Ideally in the insurance industry.
- Language Skills: Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish) with strong proficiency in written, spoken, and conversational communication in both languages.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex concepts (like insurance coverage) simply.
Additional Skills (Recommended)
- Tech Savviness: Comfortable using computer systems and CRM software. Familiarity with EzLynx is a plus, but not required (training provided).
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail when verifying data, recording policies, and processing payments.
- Organization: Ability to manage follow-ups, daily reporting, and contract uploads efficiently.
- Coachability: Willingness to learn and participate in the provided training for Auto and Home insurance products.
