We are looking for an Estimator with experience in construction, millwork, casework, or related manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings both technical competence (reading plans, performing takeoffs) and strong communication skills (clear proposals, effective coordination with internal teams).
Top Candidate Requirements
Please prioritize candidates who:
- Have 2+ years of estimating experience in construction, fabrication, or similar.
- Software: BlueBeam, Excel, MS Office Apps
- Can confidently read architectural drawings and specifications.
- Have hands-on experience performing takeoffs (materials, labor, installation, etc.).
- Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational habits.
- Communicate clearly—both written and verbally.
- Are comfortable working on-site in Fountain Valley.
Strong Pluses (Not Required, But Highly Valuable)
- Experience with laboratory casework or fume hoods
- Experience working with general contractors, architects, or lab planners
- Background in manufacturing environments where custom fabrication is common
Key Responsibilities This Candidate Must Handle Well

- Reviewing drawings, specs, and RFQs
- Performing detailed material and labor takeoffs
- Developing complete cost estimates for manufactured products + installation
- Writing and assembling proposal packages
- Coordinating with engineering, drafting, purchasing, and sales
- Identifying scope gaps and clarifying ambiguous information
- Managing multiple bids simultaneously with deadlines
