Marketing Relations Specialist

Overview

Our client is seeking a Marketing Relations Specialist to strengthen our connections with referring optometrists, ophthalmologists, and community physicians while supporting the overall marketing strategy of the practice. This role blends relationship management, outreach, social media coordination, and strategic marketing support. The ideal candidate is polished, articulate, and thrives in a healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Referral Relationship Management (Primary)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring doctors, practice managers, and front-office staff.
  • Conduct regular outreach visits to external practices, providing educational materials, updates, and customer service follow-up.
  • Track referral sources, identify trends, and proactively address issues affecting referral volume.
  • Serve as the point of contact for referring offices to ensure a smooth referral experience.

Marketing Execution & Strategy Support

  • Work with leadership to execute monthly and quarterly marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating events, collaborations, and educational workshops for referring doctors.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, patient acquisition metrics, and referral pipeline health.

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Manage posting and scheduling of content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement.
  • Assist with content gathering (e.g., behind-the-scenes clinic moments, patient experience highlights—within HIPAA regulations).
  • Support brand consistency across all digital channels.

Practice Branding & Outreach

  • Distribute marketing materials to referring offices and maintain up-to-date brochures, cards, and educational handouts.
  • Assist with marketing strategy for the practice to professionally be involved in industry events, conferences, CE meetings, and local networking opportunities.

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of marketing experience in healthcare, referral liaison work, or practice outreach (optometry, ophthalmology, dental, medspa, dermatology, or similar fields).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable with direct outreach.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of tracking multiple relationships and campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and comfort with light content tasks.
  • Professional writing and speech with the ability to represent a premium medical brand.

Preferred but Not Required

  • Background in ophthalmology, optometry, or medical aesthetics
  • Experience with CRM or referral tracking systems
