eCommerce Support & Shopify Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented eCommerce Support & Shopify Specialist who can flexibly contribute across customer support and site management tasks. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, solving issues efficiently, and also likes working behind the scenes on product pages and storefront upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer support tickets via Gorgias — assisting customers with inquiries, returns, subscription issues, and general requests with professionalism and empathy.
  • Manage subscriptions and recurring orders using Recharge (and potentially related tools) — e.g. assist customers with subscription setups, renewals, cancellations, and troubleshooting.
  • Update and maintain the Shopify storefront: create & optimize product pages, collections, and variants; ensure accurate product information, inventory status, and SEO-friendly descriptions.
  • Occasionally assist with upsell or cross-sell tools (e.g. Rebuy) or subscription-recovery tools (e.g. Churnbuster) — if applicable and within scope.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions between support and site management duties, maintaining high-quality standards on both customer experience and storefront presentation.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with Gorgias, Shopify, and Recharge.
  • Excellent written communication skills and customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks: responding to support tickets, updating the online store, and handling subscription-related issues.
  • Reliable availability in the scheduled time block (1–6 PM EST), with the capability to commit to 30 hours per week.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow processes.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with Rebuy (or similar upsell/cross-sell tools).
  • Exposure to Churnbuster (or similar subscription-recovery tools).
  • Basic familiarity with Shopify theme settings, product page SEO best practices, or light technical adjustments.
  • Prior eCommerce support or store-management background.
