Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join their team and drive the financial accuracy of residential and commercial projects. In this role, you will be responsible for generating precise cost assessments for various roofing systems, from asphalt shingles to complex metal roofing. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who can work independently to build standardized estimation templates, ensuring that the business maintains competitive pricing and profitability while delivering high-quality service to clients in Alberta.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, Flexible during client business hours [MT/Alberta, Canada] (20 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Estimation Generation: Create accurate roofing estimates for residential and commercial projects, including asphalt shingles, sloped roofing, and metal roofing systems.
• Template Development: Build and maintain standardized estimation templates for various materials and project types to streamline the bidding process.
• Client Communication: Discuss project scope, material choices, and cost assessments directly with clients to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Data Analysis: Track and organize estimation data to support quality control and provide insights for business performance analysis.
• Methodology Standardization: Ensure a consistent estimation methodology is applied across all project types to maintain business integrity.
• Project Support: Assist in resource allocation and project planning based on the requirements and timelines established in your estimates.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in construction estimation, specifically within the roofing industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of roofing materials, labor costs, local building codes, and industry standards.
• Analytical Skills: High level of attention to detail and a proven track record of accuracy in complex mathematical calculations.
• Document Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction specifications and blueprints.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills for professional client interactions.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
