The client is a seasoned entrepreneur who previously founded and successfully exited an HR tech SaaS business to a US private equity firm. They are launching a new health and wellness e-commerce business targeting women aged 40-60, focusing on peptides, supplements, and hormonal health products.

Job Overview

This role involves building a curated Shopify website from scratch for a specialized health and wellness brand. The developer will be responsible for both the technical architecture and design elements of the site, creating a focused and professional e-commerce experience. The client is seeking someone with senior-level expertise who can work independently and deliver a market-ready website efficiently.

Schedule:  40 hours/week, Monday - Friday. Working hours are flexible, but you must be available for meetings between 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM Sydney time. 
Client Timezone: Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT - Sydney)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a complete Shopify e-commerce website from the ground up with custom features and branding.
• Implement SEO best practices throughout the site architecture to ensure strong organic search visibility.
• Create a user-friendly interface with strong design aesthetics tailored to the target demographic.
• Ensure the website is optimized for performance, mobile responsiveness, and conversion.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to the site as needed after the initial launch.

Requirements

• Proven senior-level experience developing Shopify websites with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in website architecture and SEO implementation.
• Strong design skills with the ability to create visually appealing and user-focused e-commerce experiences.

Nice to have:

• Experience building e-commerce sites in the health, wellness, or supplement industry.
• Familiarity with branding and content curation for niche market segments.

Side Note

• This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
