The client operates a growing soccer academy with both a non-profit component and a competitive training program serving teams and individual athletes in a low-income community. The organization has been operating for approximately two years and is focused on scaling operations while maintaining hands-on coaching and program development.

JOB OVERVIEW

This is a part-time remote position requiring 20 hours per week to support administrative operations, sales outreach, and grant research for a community-focused soccer academy. The role combines basic bookkeeping and data entry with proactive customer engagement and grant opportunity identification. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and capable of managing multiple operational tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining organized records and communication systems.

Schedule: Mon-Fri - Flexible during client business hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform data entry bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks or similar platforms, including transaction recording and basic payroll processing.

  • Conduct outbound sales calls and text outreach to existing customers regarding tryouts, camps, special events, and program updates.

  • Research and identify grant opportunities available for non-profit organizations serving low-income areas.

  • Prepare and submit grant applications in accordance with published guidelines and deadlines.

  • Update and maintain professional social media profiles including LinkedIn to support organizational visibility.

  • Manage customer communication to ensure engagement and retention through regular touchpoints. Maintain organized records of sales activities, financial transactions, and grant application statuses.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience with data entry and basic bookkeeping tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct cold calling and customer outreach with confidence and professionalism.

  • Self-starter capable of learning new systems and processes independently without extensive training.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and professional correspondence.

  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely during scheduled hours in Eastern Time.

NICE-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

  • Familiarity with grant research and application processes for non-profit organizations.

  • Background in sales or customer service within the sports, education, or community service sectors.

  • Experience managing social media profiles for business or organizational purposes.

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
