Scope
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Central with (10pm to 7am Manila Time) with 1-hour unpaid break
Responsibilities:
Video Editing: Edit long-form videos, including interviews, documentaries, webinars, promotional content, and other video materials, ensuring they are cohesive and align with the project’s goals.
Software Proficiency: Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro to edit and enhance video content, applying transitions, effects, color correction, audio adjustments, and more as needed.
Content Collaboration: Collaborate with the content production team, including directors, producers, and other stakeholders, to understand the vision, style, and requirements of each project.
Storytelling and Creative Input: Provide creative input to help shape the narrative and structure of video content, enhancing the storytelling aspects and overall engagement of the videos.
Quality Control: Ensure all video content meets technical standards for quality, including resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, color accuracy, and sound quality.
Asset Management: Organize and manage video assets, including raw footage, audio files, graphics, and other project materials, maintaining a well-organized file system.
Revisions and Feedback: Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to make revisions and improvements to video content as required.
Staying Updated: Keep up to date with the latest trends in video editing, software updates, and industry standards to continually improve skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Meeting Deadlines: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all video content is delivered on time and within the scope of the project.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in video editing, specifically working with long-form content.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro is required. Experience with additional editing software is a plus.
- Strong Understanding of Video Editing Techniques: Excellent knowledge of video editing, storytelling, color grading, sound editing, and post-production processes.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring all video content is polished, professional, and error-free.
- Creative Mindset: Strong creative and visual skills with a good sense of pacing, timing, and visual storytelling to enhance the viewer’s experience.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining an organized file structure for video assets.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and client feedback, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Portfolio Required: Must provide a portfolio or reel showcasing previous video editing work, particularly long-form content.
- Education: A degree or certification in Film, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong demonstrable experience.
