Social Media Specialist
Introduction: This role supports a new telemedicine functional medicine practice in its foundational stages. With a WordPress website and the Go High Level platform as the backend, the practice has established automations, a clear brand identity, and initial marketing materials. The practice seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to execute an existing social media strategy, focusing on intentional, campaign-driven posts aligned with planned launches. The role will also provide support for backend tasks, including data entry, minor automation adjustments, and potential funnel creation.
Schedule: M-F 10am to 2pm Chicago Time
Responsibilities:
- Execute and post engaging, on-brand social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn in line with campaign plans.
- Create and edit short video content for Reels and other relevant platforms.
- Develop a well-organized, consistent posting and engagement schedule, utilizing a content calendar.
- Manage and engage with social media communities by responding to follower messages, comments, and likes.
- Proactively reach out to influencers or aligned companies to increase engagement and broaden audience reach.
- Provide actionable recommendations on social media strategies and report regularly on activity and engagement growth.
- Track and report on campaign performance metrics and follower engagement to optimize strategies.
- Assist with backend data entry, minor automation adjustments, and potential funnel development.
- Post pre-written blogs and marketing materials across social channels to support campaign goals.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven portfolio of previous social media work, with emphasis on content creation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- At least two years of experience in content creation and social media account management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google tools, and familiarity with WordPress and Go High Level.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, or a related creative field.
- Experience managing and growing social media audiences professionally (3-5 years).
Preferred Skills:
- Interest or experience in the health, wellness, or functional medicine industries.
- Proficiency with design tools like Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to create and implement engaging, brand-aligned content for various social media platforms.
- Familiarity with social media advertising best practices.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Previous experience with consumer-focused or health tech brands.
