Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be instrumental in delivering full-cycle accounting services to a diverse client base. Utilizing cutting-edge tools like QuickBooks Online and potentially Xero, you’ll manage everything from basic bookkeeping to advanced financial analysis and projections. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on accounting work and strategic thinking, as you’ll also contribute to developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that will form the backbone of the company’s operations. With a clear path for growth, this position is ideal for a skilled accountant looking to make a significant impact and potentially transition into a team leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle accounting using QuickBooks Online and other relevant software
• Perform in-depth financial statement analysis and prepare insightful projections
• Manage payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, optimizing cash flow for clients
• Develop and implement robust SOPs to streamline accounting processes
• Contribute to company growth by assisting with client onboarding and retention
• Balance bookkeeping tasks with high-level financial strategy and planning
• Adapt to evolving business needs, potentially including expansion into new accounting platforms

Requirements

• Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, with strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Expertise in financial statement analysis and creating accurate projections
• Solid understanding of payroll processing and AR/AP management
• Ability to develop and implement effective accounting SOPs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Adaptability to handle various accounting tasks across different complexity levels
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the rapidly evolving field of accounting
