Job Highlights:
- Monday to Friday, 9AM – 6PM Sydney time, with 1-hour unpaid break
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
We’re seeking a seasoned professional with hands-on and advanced expertise in Australian taxation, the highest level of bookkeeping, all-around accounting, and regulatory frameworks. This role is crucial for candidates who have a strong foundation in BAS, payroll, and account reconciliations, among other related responsibilities. As a part of the client’s dedicated team, you will be instrumental in managing financial and accounting tasks with a keen eye for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage payroll, handle accounts payable/receivable, execute account reconciliations, and meticulously review source documentation.
- Expertly prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring full compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations.
- Accurately create and prepare End of Financial Year (EOFY) accounts, following all relevant guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Perform data-entry tasks with exceptional attention to detail, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial figures at all times.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a senior bookkeeping or accounting role, with a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Mandatory: First-hand and advance or senior level experiences with bookkeeping, Australian taxation, all around accounting, and comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, including BAS, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential for success in this role.
- Exceptional organizational skills, coupled with the ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain high levels of accuracy.
