Job Description
As a Medical Phone Operator, you’ll be the vital link between patients and our client’s medical team. Leveraging your bilingual skills and medical knowledge, you’ll manage a high volume of patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and navigate state-of-the-art EMR software. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while making a tangible difference in patient care. Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming patient calls with professionalism and empathy
- Utilize medical knowledge to address patient questions and concerns effectively
- Navigate eClinicalWorks EMR software for accurate data entry and retrieval
- Provide seamless bilingual support in English and Spanish
- Collaborate with in-house staff and virtual team members via Microsoft Teams
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient information updates
- Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Contribute to improving overall patient experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare customer service
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare processes
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with computers and ability to quickly adapt to new software
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Availability to work during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment for remote operations
