Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM-6:00 PM San Diego, California Time (1:00 AM to 10:00 AM Manila Time)
Responsibilities:
Review and scrub medical notes for billing accuracy.
Verify that diagnoses are accurate and coded correctly.
Check and calculate the Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) score.
Submit verified diagnoses to health plans or Medicare for reimbursement.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare billing regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
Experience with Medical Coding Systems: Proficient in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
RAF Score Knowledge: Understanding of Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) scores and their importance in HMO health plans.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately review and scrub notes for correct diagnoses and ensure proper coding.
HMO Health Plan Experience: Familiarity with HMO health plans and Medicare, specifically in submitting accurate diagnoses.
Effective Communication: Strong ability to communicate with healthcare providers to confirm diagnoses and coding accuracy.
Tech Savvy: Competent with billing and coding software for efficient data entry and claim submission.
