CPA Tax Preparer
Position: CPA Tax Prepaper
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT) with a 30-minute paid break
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced CPA Tax Preparer with a minimum of 3 years of U.S. tax preparation experience and proficiency in handling end-of-year book closures. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and possess excellent organizational and analytical skills. This role requires collaboration with clients, managers, and various departments, making effective communication skills essential. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks (QB), and payroll systems is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file accurate U.S. tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage end-of-year book closures, including verifying account balances and making adjustments.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and explain any discrepancies between bank balances and statements.
- Utilize accounting software (QBO, QB, and payroll systems) to manage financial transactions and tax-related tasks.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and trends, providing insights to support tax strategy.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve questions and ensure alignment on tax matters.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation with a minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks, and payroll systems.
- Analytical skills to interpret and analyze financial data.
- Excellent communication skills for client and team collaboration.
