Our organization plans and executes exciting tournaments, clinics, and social events that bring together pickleball enthusiasts of all skill levels. As we continue to expand our reach and impact in the pickleball community, we are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to join our team and help maintain our financial records with the same precision and enthusiasm that we bring to our events.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our organization as we continue to grow the sport of pickleball.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all pickleball events and operations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and participant fees
- Manage payroll processing for staff and event personnel
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, particularly following major tournaments
- Prepare and process invoices for sponsors, vendors, and event participants
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Help with budget preparation and financial forecasting for upcoming pickleball events
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations for sports organizations
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents related to events and operations
- Collaborate with management, event planners, and external accountants as needed
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience,
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong ethical standards and integrity
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks, especially during peak event seasons
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
