Accounting Department Manager
Job Highlights:
- (20 hours a week)
- Monday – Friday flexible between 8am-6pm CST

Position Summary:
The Accounting Department Manager will oversee the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, and manage CFO services for clients. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting department operations and staff.
- Provide CFO services, including financial strategy, planning, and analysis for fractional CFO clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Review and prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor accounting department staff as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated financial services.

Manage client relationships and address their financial needs and concerns through monthly and quarterly Management Meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification required.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including managerial role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite. Preferably TaxDome as well.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including managerial role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Scope:
- Manage a team of 3-5 accounting professionals
- Oversee financial reporting and compliance for multiple clients
