Job Description
We are seeking a part-time financial services consultant to ensure proper accounting practices during a period of rapid growth. You will work closely with the board to establish processes around reconciliations, reporting, and documentation. If you have an accounting background and want to help build the financial infrastructure for an early-stage startup, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
– Complete account reconciliations on a timely basis
– Understand flow of funds from eCommerce gateways
– Create templates for monthly financial statements
– Document key accounting policies and procedures
– Identify opportunities for process improvement
Requirements
– 3+ years experience in accounting/finance
– Proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks
– Understanding of general eCommerce financial flows
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work independently
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
